Make this your year to celebrate being a woman, and indulge yourself in the sheer pleasure of feeling radiant.

If this isn't what you're used to, it's time to change your attitude. Think of yourself in the same way you do your home.

When you spend time nurturing and loving your home, the more beautiful it becomes. Your beauty is exactly the same. By indulging your feminine side, you're sure to feel wonderful.

Irrespective of your age, shape, size or personality, beauty is yours to be experienced, explored and enjoyed. Now is the time to begin pampering yourself on a regular basis and to allow your goddess to shine from within.

Start the ball rolling

Ask yourself the question: ‘What do I need to do on a regular basis in order to look and feel great?' Do your feet need a good soak, does your face need to be rejuvenated with a mask, or does your body need a relaxing bath? If you're having trouble coming up with the answers, we have plenty of ideas for you! Read on our top tips for making you feel great.

Have a weekly mini facial

To brighten your complexion, first cleanse your skin, then use a gentle facial scrub to give it a deeper cleanse and to remove surface dryness. Apply a mask - be generous - and relax for 20 minutes so it can do its work. Spend the time in a fragrant bath or reading a great novel. And don't forget to put up your ‘Do not disturb' sign.

Pamper your deserving feet

Fill a basin with warm water, add bubble bath and soak your feet. Use a foot file to remove rough, dead skin, and follow it with a body scrub to give your feet a smoother finish. Trim and tidy your nails. Paint your toenails. Apply a foot balm to keep your feet soft.

Add shine to your hair

Once a week, when you wash your hair, allow yourself 20 minutes to give your hair a conditioning treatment. Whether you have short, long or coloured hair, a regular treatment suited to your hair type and its condition will give it extra shine. After applying a treatment, wrap your hair in a towel and use the waiting time to apply a face mask or relax in a bath. Your hair and skin will feel better as a result.

Do your nails

While you're watching a movie or your favourite TV show, use the commercial breaks to give yourself a manicure. If you don't need a full manicure, make sure you file your nails to smooth out any rough edges and apply a clear hardener or coloured polish.
