Better You

Memory menders

Mar 13 04:44pm

It's normal if you forget where you've parked your car, or a person's name occasionally, but it's also normal for the brain to slow down around the 40s. Don't panic, there are things you can do to improve your memory.

Pay attention: forgetfulness occurs when you don't pay enough attention. To remember, focus closely to form an imprint on your brain.

Move it: exercise regularly. This will keep you sharp by protecting the cardiovascular system that feeds the brain.

Mental aerobics: give your brain a daily mental workout by doing a crossword, a Sudoku puzzle or playing a video game.

Pen power: jot things down. Once you've written it down, you can forget all about it.
