Easter already?
The April issue features lots of Easter inspired papercraft ideas. I had a
lot of fun with papercraft expert Cathy Bodini, coming up with beautiful and cute projects for our
Better Homes and Gardens readers.
Cathy is a very talented lady, but we work in Sydney and she lives in Tasmania, so you can imagine what it takes to come up with project ideas over the phone. These conversations take place at all hours and on all days - public holidays, weekends, evenings - but we both love what we do so it doesn't matter.
Sometimes, it's a bit hard to visualise what is being described so then it's a matter of being emailed a quick diagram to ensure we are both on the same page, so to speak.
Our recent photo shoot is just part of the magazine process, but a very important one. We try ever so hard to produce the most beautiful pages and so you can see the crafts in detail, making it easier to follow the instructions. There's a fantastic team that comes together - photographer, stylist, Chantal (Decorating Assistant), Francesca (our new Craft Editor) and me! At this shoot, Kerrie, our Food Editor, came along bearing cup cakes. Guess who had first dibbs on those? My hips thank you, Kerrie.
Hope you like our combined efforts which you can see in the April issue.
Until next time,
Dora
