In today's blog our resident book and DVD reviewer stops by to chat about Gossip Girl...

It’s no surprise that Manhattan’s most notorious blogger has found her way to our very own Better Blogs page! Gossip Girl has been XOXOing her way to everyone’s attention for some time now, and we at Better Homes are firmly on the gossip bandwagon.

But before I go any further, I would just like to say that I was on to Gossip Girl absolutely ages ago. One of the teen mags here in the office had been sent copies of the Gossip Girl books and knowing a good thing when I see it, I pounced on them. As soon as I read the series, I passed the books on to my nieces and they devoured them in turn.

So just imagine our joy when we discovered it was being made into a TV show! Lucky for my nieces and me we have Foxtel, so we didn’t miss out. But I know that lots of you out there haven’t had the Gossip Girl experience. And what an experience it is.

For those of you who don’t already know, Gossip Girl – whose identity is unknown – is a blogger who keeps tabs on a group of gorgeous young things from New York. She writes about the lives of Blair, Nate, Serena, Dan, Chuck and Jenny. And what lives they are, full of romance, intrigue and socialising. Or, to put it more accurately – sex, backstabbing and partying. And Gossip Girl is not one to shy away from reporting a scandal or busting a secret wide open.
