Believe it or not the year is more than half over. But time waits for no man and so we know you are all as busy as ever in the house and garden doing all of those little jobs that make a house a home and a garden a … well, a great garden. To help keep you inspired, our August issue is jam-packed full of great ideas on everything from how to hold a wedding in your own backyard through to how to whip up a delicious and decadent banoffee (banana and toffee) tart.

For the green thumbs we have a great feature on how to grow (and use) your own medicinal herbs as well as a feature that showcases some of the downright wackiest plants you’ve ever seen (dragon’s blood tree anyone?)

If saws and sawdust are more your thing we have some useful tips on how to get out of trouble when your drill bit snaps as well as how to pick the right roof for your house and how to make some space in the garage for the car (believe it or not garages weren’t originally intended for old bikes and boxes of photos).

On page 176 & 177 there is a colorbond competition in August Isssue of BHG has anybody succesfully entered the competition when i try to enter is tells me (Sorry this competition is no longer available) but the Terms and Conditions say's entries close 31.7.09 ??

I have been looking for the Mirror Cat segment in the BHG Mag and can't find it and the video clip's sound is not audible! I need this info asap as we have a stressed indoor cat. Now my son and family are moving to Perth for 18 mths and we will be looking after their 2 Golden Retrievers!

Also wanting to find out more about the decking products from the wedding special - mag says go here for parts list and stockists, but where is it ?????? I won't bother buying mag again for a wild goose chase!!

when can I view the recent episode on dollhouse making. I missed most of the show due to commitments and have been hanging out to catch it online but waiting waiting waiting....how long after an episode is it possible to view it online???????
