Make a paper piping bag

Nov 30 09:26am
How to make a piping bag from baking paper. A quick and easy tool to use when decorating with melted chocolate or icing.

You'll need
25cm square of baking paper

Here's how
1. Fold the square of baking paper in half diagonally to form a triangle. Working with the long side facing away from you, pull one corner in to the centre.
2. Hold in place while bending in the other corner and wrapping tightly to form a snug cone shape. Tuck upstanding ends inside the paper cone and fold down to secure.
3. Spoon the mix, such as chocolate, cream or icing, into the bag and fold down to seal.
4. Snip off the tip and gently apply pressure to force out the contents.

Discard the bag once empty.

Tip
Bags still containing chocolate can be stored in a cool, dark place and microwaved for 40-50 seconds to re-melt.
