DEFINITION

Selecting a perfume is a personal experience. Every fragrance has its own message to the wearer and it is important to get the right one for you.

DESCRIPTION

HOW TO SELECT
If you are buying a perfume for someone else it is important to overcome your own fragrance preferences. Never allow your personal likes/dislikes to interfere with your purchase. Remember a perfume on one person may have a completely different smell on another person.

There are three important things to remember in a fragrance:

FRAGRANCE IS EMOTION
When you choose a fragrance that you feel is right for you - and wear it often - it becomes a statement of your personality and "mood of the moment".

FRAGRANCE IS NOSTALGIC
A particular fragrance can take you back to a certain time and place, a person, an experience. A fragrance that is yours will remind people of you and make them feel your presence.

FRAGRANCE IS STYLE
Your fragrance creates an immediate impression on the people you meet. Like the clothes you wear and the makeup you choose....your taste and social awareness.

FRAGRANCE FORMS
There are five basic Fragrance Forms. They are listed in descending order, from the strongest form, to the lightest.

1. PERFUME
The strongest, most pure lasting form of the liquid fragrance, with the highest percentage of pure essence (suspended in alcohol).

2. PERFUME OIL
Oil, rather than alcohol, is the carrying agent. This form is especially good for dry skin.

3. EAU DE PARFUM
A rich fragrance form, less concentrated than perfume.

4. EAU DE TOILETTE/EAU DE COLOGNE
The ratio of essence is slightly lower than that of perfume, lasts slightly less then perfume.

5. EAU FRAICHE
Plenty of essence for long wear, but light enough to use all over the body "light Splash-on, year round use".

FRAGRANCE NOTES
1. TOP NOTE
The immediate fragrance impression. The top note provides the freshness and sparkle of a fragrance, it can also be somewhat sharp.
2. MIDDLE NOTE (HEART NOTE)
Emerges as the top note fades. The middle note imparts the true personality and character of the fragrance.
3. BASE NOTE
The final phase.
The base note tenaciously holds the entire fragrance until the last impression disappears.
NOTE:
Always wait for the true smell of the fragrance to emerge after it is applied. This may take 5-10 minutes. Do not judge it immediately it is applied.
